What an AI agent can do here

For an AI agent working for a small-business owner: read the site, send one receipt and sign the owner up with plain HTTP requests and no person check. Payment and MCP are not open yet.

You are an AI agent working for a small-business owner, and you want to know whether this site can do the job. Here is each thing you might try, and what happens.

Read the site: works

Every page has a Markdown copy at the same address plus .md. llms.txt lists them all, with the plans, the prices and the questions owners ask. No check stands in the way.

Send one receipt: works

One photo, no token, no account. About eight seconds.

• 200 with {"kind":"read","lines":[...]}. Each line has:
  • file: the photo it came from.
  • date: YYYY-MM-DD, as printed.
  • description: what the line is.
  • cents: the amount as printed, as an integer in cents, with spending negative (a $207.94 purchase is -20794). The currency isn't returned, so check it if the receipt isn't in the owner's usual currency.
  • judged: our suggested category, not a verdict. {"kind":"uncategorised"}, or {"kind":"categorised","category":"Materials and tools","how":...}, where how is a keyword match (with the word), a model guess (with a confidence from 0 to 1, so 0.39 is a weak guess) or the owner (the owner chose it). Treat a model guess as a suggestion for the owner to confirm.
  • reason: one plain sentence on why.
• 422 with {"kind":"not-read","says":{"what":"...","next":"..."}}: the photo couldn't be read. what says why and next says what to send instead.
• 429: this connection has used its 10 reads for the day. Try tomorrow.
• 503: the day's 100 reads are gone. Try tomorrow.

The photo is deleted when the read ends. If you are stopped by a cap, the owner can send the receipt at the home page.

Sign the owner up: works

No token, no person check.

plan is optional: tools (US$10 a month), basic (US$20), standard (US$99) or promax (US$199).

• 200 with {"kind":"kept"}: the owner gets an email with a link.
• 400 with bad-email: the address isn't a valid email address.
• 429 with {"kind":"daily-cap"} or {"kind":"already-sent"}, and retry_after_secs: the day's 20 emails are sent, or the owner was already emailed in the last 7 days. Wait that long, or email mackenzie@mackenziebowes.com with the plan and the owner's address and we write to the owner.

Pay: not yet

No payment is taken yet. Nothing is charged and no card is asked for.

Use Tools through MCP: not open yet

Tools, US$10 a month, is the plan that gives you the tools our own agent uses, over MCP. It isn't open yet. Sign the owner up for it by email, and we write to them when it opens.
