Catch-up bookkeeping: your books brought up to date in your own QuickBooks or Xero file
Catch-up bookkeeping for small businesses months behind: done in your own QuickBooks or Xero file at a fixed price per month. Join the waitlist.
If your books are months behind, this will bring them up to date. The work is done in your own QuickBooks or Xero file, at a fixed price for each month you're behind.
Why sooner costs less
If a GST/HST return is late and shows tax owing, the CRA's late-filing penalty is 1% of the tax owing, plus a quarter of that for each full month late, for up to 12 months, and interest compounds daily [1]. The CRA's Voluntary Disclosures Program has worked this way since 1 October 2025: if you come forward before the CRA contacts you about it, the usual relief is all of the penalties and 75% of the interest. After the CRA has been in touch, it's 25% of the interest and up to all of the penalties [2]. Whether to apply is your decision. Catch-up bookkeeping gets the books ready; it doesn't include making that application for you.
