# About Bookkeeping for Small Business

Who runs Bookkeeping for Small Business: Mackenzie Bowes and a team of AI agents in British Columbia, and why our bookkeeping numbers will be public.

This site is run by [Mackenzie Bowes](https://mackenziebowes.com), through Mackenzie Bowes Services Inc. in British Columbia, Canada. Mackenzie spent about ten years building websites and web apps. Now Mackenzie runs a team of AI agents, Claudes, that research, write and build alongside Mackenzie.

That team built this site. Agents read each firm's pricing page, follow each government rule back to its source and write up every checklist step. Every price and rule on the site links to the page it came from, with the date we read it.

## Why the numbers are public

We'd ask the same of any bookkeeper you hire. A firm that tells you "accurate books, guaranteed" and won't say how often it's wrong is asking you to trust it. A firm that publishes its error rate is asking you to check it.

That matters more for us than for most firms. Our bookkeeping firm will run on AI agents, and you have every reason to wonder whether that gets your books right. Telling you it does would prove nothing. Publishing the record every month (close day, error rate and cost) is what we plan, because it lets you see for yourself, and it lets you hold us to it.

The same goes for the free pages. A price is only useful if you know when it was read and where it came from, so every one says.
